Responsibility: Students will frequently have access to laptops and iPads. This is a wonderful benefit we have at our school, but that also means that the students are responsible. If a student is on one of the school’s machines and breaks it, he or she is responsible. Settings: There are settings already put on the technology in the classrooms, and students will be disciplined and restricted from using the equipment if they change these settings (desktop background, format, privacy, etc). Saftey: In this generation, the internet and media has many negative sides, such as cyper bulling, innapropriate content, harmful videos, etc. I will view ALL videos and movies before they are shown in class. I will tell the students specific sites to view, and if they are caught viewing anything other than what they have been told, then they will lose their privelages. If a student is caught “sexting” or bullying online, or viewing innapropriate material, I am required to relay that to the head of the school. This is something I cannot and will not ignore, because I care about the safety of your child.

Cell phone use: Cell phones are allowed to be in the student’s bags, but if they are caught using them, they will be taken up and you (the parent) will be asked to come pick it up from school at the end of the day. Printing: Students will be limited to the amount of articles they are allowed to print because the school budget only allows so much ink per classroom. If the students are not wise with printing sparingly, as the end of the year nears, they may have to do some of their printing at home.
